This is a thing I do every year. Although, I don’t remember where exactly I wrote 2011.

2012 had been a roller coaster. Started fairly negative; followed by numerous sleepless nights – literally and figuratively. I was used to doing many things during the summer; I ended up with an internship this year.

Dreams came true; hearts were still broken, again and again. Learned new things about love. Was silently rejected to the countless job applications I sent out. Met new friends, some friendships were rekindled, but also said goodbye to some amazing people. Definitely learned a lot this year. Discovered many things about myself, about my limits.

The biggest thing this year was my graduation. I am finally done! But now what? There are many uncertainties. Nothing was really answered in 2012.

One thing is for sure though: I’m ready for you 2013. No more excuses, no more delaying anything. Oh, and more blogging.

And as my favorite Taylor Swift song says:

“This is the golden age of something good and right and real.”

Bring it on, 2013. Happy new year, everyone!

As expected, fashion post! Sigh. No matter what I do, I just can’t stay away from it. In the past few weeks, I have been living in my sweatpants and North Face jacket. Today, I actually spent time thinking about what to wear in my 50-minute class. I just want to share what I’m wearing today.

Oh, and this article I found on Yahoo! OMG. Do you really think Blake Lively’s jeans are from Old Navy? Wouldn’t that be awesome? 🙂

So now to commemorate the article, here’s one way I’d wear my skinny jeans:

Hope everyone is having a great Monday! I’d like to know how you would rock skinny jeans, so don’t be shy, share! 🙂

Initially, this site was supposed to have a certain niche on the web. Coming up with something clever to post is exhausting; I don’t know how most people do it. I’ve recently decided to just talk about me, and I didn’t mean that in a narcissistic way at all. I just want to share things to people that I think are “share-worthy”.

From now on, posts are going to be about random things. I don’t promise exciting things, though. Hope you’re ready for anything!

Growing up, I had this addiction with neon colors. And it carried through my teenage years, up to now. Neon colors have that certain happy vibe! Sometimes, you’ll see people wear it carelessly. I think you have to be very careful when you want to incorporate neon with your outfit. Treat it as a “pop of color” thing instead of going crazy.

Recently, I came across this website called Fab.com. I had downloaded an app called Wrapp, and received a free $10 gift card to spend at Fab. The site is a lot like the sample sale websites such as Rue La La or Ideeli, but here’s the twist — they actually have new and up-coming designers’ products for sale. They also go out their way to find new and unique designs, so it is not your typical online shop. You should definitely check it out! They offer a variety of products — from clothes to art to home decor.

This is what I got from them. Now, doesn’t that make you smile? I think it’s great when a company spends extra time on making their service better. Good job, Fab.com! 🙂

Disclaimer: This is not a paid advertisement; I paid for all the stuff I got with the exception of the $10 gift card I received. When something is this good, you can’t help but share it! If you do try their service, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I've always wanted this, and now I have it! Great thing about it, you ask? It's only $5.99 at Michael's! While you can see fancier ones at other stores, I'm all about less is more. Besides, it's a mirror, what more do you want? :) Well, if you would still say you want more, you can always DIY these. Get a sharpie, nail polish, and some stencils, and you'll be good to go! Michael's has these in different shapes -- circle, square, rectangle -- you choose!  Hope this post helped you; let me know if you have any questions. I'm always happy to help. And just for the record -- this is the 12 inches octagon mirror.

Finally wore this top I got from someone very dear to me. Silly me went a little overboard and paired the top with one of my favorite rings. This outfit is suited for the hot weather here in the east coast; also, I wore it when I went shopping with my sister.

top: from Malaysia; shorts: Gap; ring: Betsey Johnson

Hey everyone. I’m on Flickr now! I’m actually gonna use it for photographing various kinds of subjects. Here’s my url:

If you have an account, please add me. If you don’t you can still browse around. There are many great photos in there. If you’re interested in just browsing beautiful photos, I highly recommend spending even just 10 minutes there.

I hope you all are having a great week! 🙂

WTWW: Wedges

Whew! It’s been a while since I blogged a fashion-related post. Well, here it is! Today’s topic is wedges. You may probably recognize this trend since it has been around for quite a long time. Wedges are great especially if you’re not one of those people who can last for hours in a pair of stilettos, but still need the extra oomph! Here are some ideas on how to wear wedges:

I, personally, don’t choose to wear wedge slides, but they are as great as wedge sandals. I think pairing a reasonably high wedge slides would look great with a pair of shorts. In this set, I chose to pair a color block top with some printed denim shorts, add some funky sunglasses, and finish with a hobo printed shoulder bag. When I think of high heels (wedges or stilettos), I immediately think of the word “sophisticated”. This look is very laid-back which balances the sophistication of the wedge slides.

Another trend that I’m seeing a lot this summer is wearing a romper with wedges. Again, I would probably choose a reasonable height for my heels especially when wearing shorts, skirts, or rompers. I chose this particular pair of wedges because of the print, but it would be nice to have them in a lower heel height. I paired the rose-colored romper with a basic cardigan. You can pull the sleeves up if you think it’s too hot for a cardigan or you can choose to wear this ensemble at night. The belt — you can do so much with it. You can either tie it on the romper or outside on the cardigan or you can choose to not wear it at all. I like the lavender belt, though since it contrasts the colors in the romper. It’s an unexpected pop of color, but since it is still in the red family, it’s not overpowering the pinks. I finished the look with bangles that matches the romper. When accessorizing for a look like this, less is definitely more.

Last, and definitely on the least: colors! I can’t get enough of it! For this look, I paired a coral-colored dress with some tribal, but colorful belt, mint green earrings, and a soft neutral messenger bag to tone down the girly vibe from the ruffles of the dress. When dealing with dresses, you can opt for higher than usual wedges. They will make your legs look longer, and you can thank me later.

So, what do you think? Do you own any wedges? Would you wear this trend? What’s your favorite outfit to pair with wedges? Tell me all about it in the comments below! 🙂

The Face Shop Herb Day Cleansing Wipes

The Face Shop Herb Day Cleansing Wipes is my new favorite! I got these during my recent trip to NYC. My sister wanted to go to a bookstore which happened to be in the same building as the store named The Face Shop. I haven’t heard that name before, but I was curious since Korean-brand cosmetics have good reputations in the market. Of course, I had to opt for the skincare products. I bought the travel size (20 wipes) since I was a little skeptical about them. Man, was I wrong! I should’ve bought the bulk wipes (70 wipes), and I did (even if I had to wait 2 weeks since I bought it on eBay, but it was worth it!). The wipes smell really good; they have this herbal scent which is calming in my opinion. I really enjoy using these. I think they remove make-up very well, and I don’t feel the need to wash my face after, but I still do (just in case). The wipe itself does not have any greasy feeling, and it doesn’t leave your face oily residues after you use it. It really is a great facial wipe. Unfortunately, it is not available everywhere. You could try to find it on eBay, or go to www.thefaceshop.com to find a retail store near you. Most The Face Shop stores in the US are located in CA. I think I will continue to purchase these wipes over and over again.
